Oaks Farm holiday cottage in Shrewsbury, is ideally situated for visitors to explore the towns of Ellesmere, Shrewsbury and Oswestry.
You will love walking around the glacial mere at Ellesmere. Feeding the ducks is a favourite pastime of many visitors or simply sitting admiring the water.
You may also like to try and visit Hawkstone Park – a magnificent landscape of caves, cliffs and grottos.
The county town of Shrewsbury is a picturesque affair. The town was the birthplace of that great Briton, Charles Darwin. The town centre is fortunate to have over 600 listed buildings and many small independent shops that other towns let go of years ago.
For those able to venture a little further afield, you might like to try a trip to the historic city of Chester or the World Heritage site of Ironbridge.
